Remembrance…..

When I reached Saket Hospital, Chandimandir from Hisar on 14 November, 2003 with my husband, I met the special children and became friendly with them. I remember one evening sitting in your room, your friends told me that you sing very well. On my request you sang a song from movie ‘TERE NAAM’. Wording were ‘Tum Se Milna Batein Karna Achha Lagta Hai’ (I like meeting you and talking to you). You tried to define our relationship through this song. When I saw standing in front of all children while performing group song in the competition held by ‘Bharat Vikas Parishad’, you were looking like an angle. I haven’t forgotten the blue & white frill frock you were wearing that day. Whenever I praised the frock, you just smiled because you did not believe in words. You used to speak very little, but whenever you spoke you look very charming.
You used to stay in the hostel even during vacations. You met me very often. Sometime you came to my house with your friend in the evening. One evening you complained of headache, that time we did not know this headache would take you away for ever. You were admitted in the hospital. Dr. Rahul, a pediatrician, told me that you will be alright in a few days. But one day I visited hospital to meet you. The doctors told me Kiran is serious. I did not believe it. Then you were referred to PGI, Chandigarh, where you were operated for Neuro surgery and you were in ICU. When I went to see you, you could not talk to me as before. We both were expressing with our eyes . You couldn’t even utter a single word. After few days your parents took you to Delhi, where you were admitted at Safdarjang Hospital. After some days we received a phone call that you had left us for ever.
You were star of SAKET. You were beautiful bird who died before blooming. I will never forgot your sweet voice.
Kiran ! you are our inspiration.
